About SMISpectra-Mat is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAES Getters USA, with our parent corporation SAES Getters S.p.A. located in Milan, Italy. This acquisition took place in February 2008. We have been operating continuously in Watsonville, California since 1963. We are leaders in the manufacture of refractory metals, both porous and infiltrated, for electron emission in microwave/x-ray tubes, lasers and flash lamps, low expansion/composite materials for thermal management of microelectronics, high purity materials for use in semiconductor processing and tungsten heavy allow for x-ray attenuation Our products are both passive and active and serve technical markets around the world.
