Spectra-Mat, Inc. (SMI) is a leading manufacturer of products for electron emission and controlled expansion thermal management material solutions for microelectronics. We have been in operation for over forty-five years and have built our businesses on our expertise in refractory metal technology. We became a member of the SAES Getters Group in February 2008 (www.saesgetters.com),

Our technical expertise begins with our material technology. Applications include: microwave tubes and ion gas lasers, semiconductor processing, x-ray diagnostic systems, submounts for high power laser diodes and innovative wafer level thermal management.

The materials we fabricate are porous tungsten, tungsten copper, molybdenum copper and tungsten alloys. Our products are typically produced using a press, sinter and infiltrate methodology, insuring control of the homogeneous composite. We pride ourselves on our ability to meet your demanding specifications with excellent quality and performance.
